Compatibility & Files
WaveTag Pro requires macOS 14.6 or later and is fully compatible with macOS 27 Golden Gate.
WaveTag Pro is designed for production sound WAV files, including mono WAV files and multitrack Poly-WAV recordings. MP3, FLAC, AIFF, AAC and CAF files can also be opened for playback only.
No. Editing metadata does not alter the recorded audio.
Yes. WaveTag Pro can resample WAV files to a different sample rate while preserving the original files. Resampling is performed only when explicitly requested as part of an export or audio operation.
WaveTag Pro has been tested with files from Cantar recorders, Sound Devices MixPre and 8-Series recorders. Using Sonosax, Zaxcom or another recorder? Feel free to let me know about your experience.
Yes. You can correct the start timecode or frame rate stored in a recording's metadata without altering the audio itself.

Yes. WaveTag Pro includes a 14-day free trial, so you can test it with your own recordings before purchasing.
No. WaveTag Pro is a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription.
The current price is displayed on the website in your local currency when available.
No. You download the same WaveTag Pro application. Purchasing a license simply allows you to continue using it after the trial period.
License
A WaveTag Pro license can be activated on 2 Macs.
After purchasing WaveTag Pro, you'll receive your license information by email. Enter your license in the application to activate it.
Deactivate your WaveTag Pro license on your current Mac first. This frees one of your activations so you can activate the license on another Mac.
Contact WaveTag Pro support and we'll help you recover your license.
Updates
WaveTag Pro can check for new versions directly from the application and let you know when an update is available.
Minor updates may be provided at no additional charge. Future major versions may require a separate purchase.
When a new version is available, WaveTag Pro provides a link to download it. Install the new version in place of the previous one. Your existing license remains valid for compatible updates.
